How to setup iPlum number on different devices?

Important: This page assumes you have already setup a master iPlum account and you are adding additional users in this account. Each user needs to get an iPlum subscription. You can also configure their caller-id to show main number.


Add a new iPlum user in your master account:

  1. Login https://my.iplum.com.

  2. Click Dashboard || Accounts || Add Additional Phone/Fax Line. Create a new login-id with a mobile phone number or an email address.
    Note: Landline or virtual numbers not allowed when creating additional accounts.

  3. The user will receive a link via phone text or email used to create their account.

  4. Once the user clicks the link, it will require them to setup a new password.

  5. The user is now connected to the master account and you will see them in “Accounts” section.

  6. Dashboard || Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Get iPlum Number. Follow the prompts to purchase the iPlum number for the this additional line.

  7. The user can download iPlum app, login and start using it.

  8. To show the outgoing Caller-ID as use Main Account Number: Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Profile & Permissions || Caller-ID (outgoing) || Edit (Main account iPlum number).

  9. You can modify user privileges: Dashboard || Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Profile & Permissions.

  10. To setup voice network mode for best call reliability :
    Dashboard || Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Settings || Call Mode: Outgoing Calls (Edit) || Use My Voice Network || Enter the external phone number and save.

    Dashboard || Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Settings || Call Mode: Incoming Calls (Edit) || Use My Voice Network || Enter the external phone number and save.

    Note: Voice network mode maintains iPlum Caller-ID for all iPlum calls.



Attach an existing iPlum Account to the master account:

  1. Login https://my.iplum.com.

  2. Click Dashboard || Accounts || Add Additional Line. Enter user’s “existing iPlum login-id”.

  3. The user will receive a link.

  4. Once the user clicks the link, it will connect to your master account and you will see them in “Accounts” section. If they have setup subscription using Apple iTunes or Google Play, you can move over their subscription to master account and then have them cancel it at Apple or Google. They will not lose the number. If they had iPlum portal subscription, it will automatically move to your master account billing.

  5. (Do this step if the user doesn’t have an iPlum subscription) Dashboard || Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Get iPlum Number. Follow the prompts to purchase the iPlum number for the this additional line.

  6. The user will see the new iPlum number assigned to them in their iPlum app.

  7. To show the outgoing Caller-ID as use Main Account Number: Dashboard || Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Profile & Permissions || Caller-ID || Edit (Main account iPlum number).

  8. You can modify user privileges: Dashboard || Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Profile & Permissions.
