How does iPlum multi-user team master account work?

Multi-User Team Account Features:


Any iPlum account can be converted into a multi-user account.

  • Add and manage additional iPlum users.

  • Centralized billing .

  • Setup auto attendant and extensions.

  • Configure caller-id of additional users to main phone number.

  • Restrict permissions of certain user features.

  • Centralized archive texts.

  • Centralized call recordings.

Step by Step Process:


  1. Signup Primary iPlum Account:

    1. Click Sign in at top right corner of iPlum website.

    2. Click “Get New Number”.
      If you do not need an iPlum number for primary account, click “Choose Number Later, Create Account”.

      Use your mobile phone number to receive the verify code. Your mobile number will also become your login ID for the new iPlum account. It will not change any services or carrier on this number. You can always change your login ID to an email address or a different mobile number once you have successfully setup an iPlum account.

  2. Setup Additional Lines

    • To add a new iPlum user in your primary account:

      1. Dashboard || Users || Click “Add New User (Phone/Fax)“. Create a new login-id with a mobile phone number or an email address. Landline or virtual numbers can not be used to create user accounts.

      2. The user will receive a link via phone text or email used to create their account.

      3. Once the user clicks the link, it will require them to setup a new password.

      4. The user is now connected to the primary account and you will see them in “Users” section.

      5. Go to Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Get iPlum Number. Follow the prompts to purchase the iPlum number for this user.

      6. The user can download iPlum app, login and start using it.

      7. Show outgoing Caller-ID as use Main Account Number: Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Profile & Permissions || Caller-ID (outgoing)|| Edit (Primary iPlum number).

      8. You can also modify user privileges: Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Profile & Permissions.

      9. To setup voice network mode for best call reliability :
        Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Settings || Calling: Network Mode || Outgoing Calls || Use My Voice Network || Enter the external phone number and save.

        Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Settings || Calling: Network Mode || Incoming Calls || Use My Voice Network || Enter the external phone number and save.

        Note: Voice network mode maintains iPlum Caller-ID for all iPlum calls.

    • To attach an existing independent iPlum account to your primary iPlum account:

      1. Click “Add New User (Phone/Fax)“. Enter user’s existing iPlum login-id.

      2. The user will receive a link.

      3. Once the user clicks the link, it will connect to your primary account and you will see them in “Users” section. If the user has purchased an iPlum number with plan, it will stay as is but the billing will move to the primary account. You can skip the next step.

      4. Go to Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Get iPlum Number. Follow the prompts to purchase the iPlum number for the this additional line.

      5. The user will see the new iPlum number assigned to them in their iPlum app.

      6. Show outgoing Caller-ID as use primary account Number: Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Profile & Permissions || Caller-ID (outgoing) || Edit (Primary iPlum number).

      7. You can modify user privileges: Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Profile & Permissions.

      8. To setup voice network mode for best call reliability :
        Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Settings || Calling: Network Mode || Outgoing Calls || Use My Voice Network || Enter the external phone number and save.

        Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Settings || Calling: Network Mode || Incoming Calls || Use My Voice Network || Enter the external phone number and save.

        Note: Voice network mode maintains iPlum Caller-ID for all iPlum calls.

  3. (Optional) Enable Auto Attendant to setup welcome greeting and extensions for all users.
