How does this feature work?
iPlum provides you a unique feature to use voice network to receive incoming calls without relying on internet data on your mobile device. This gives you high reliability of incoming calls. You can enable or disable this feature any time.
How to enable voice network mode for incoming calls with distinct ringtone?
iPlum App Settings || Call Mode: Voice Network or Internet Data || Incoming Calls || Use My Voice Network. Enter your physical mobile phone number where iPlum app is installed. Click “Save & Set Distinct Ringtone” || Ringtone: Change from default to a new Ringtone || Done.
Online web portal:
Click “Calls: Network Mode” in left menu || Incoming Calls || Select Line || Use My Voice Network.
Enter your physical mobile phone number where iPlum app is installed and save.
Advanced Setting: “Use external voicemail detection”. We recommend to enable this option. It helps in redirecting the unanswered call to iPlum voicemail if it detects your device is forcing the call to personal voicemail.
How to ensure the unanswered calls go to iPlum voicemail & not personal voicemail in voice network mode?
For incoming calls in voice network mode, you will first see a notification alert on your phone and then the actual ringing screen.
Accept the call by sliding on lock screen or push “green accept” button.
If you do not want to take the call, do not click the “red decline” button. Let it ring and it will go to your iPlum voicemail. If you need to stop the ringing tone, gently push the side power button on your device. The ringing will stop immediately and after 15/20 seconds (ringing time), iPlum will route the unanswered call to your iPlum voicemail. If you tap “red decline” button on the ringing screen, your device will force the call to its native voicemail which is inherent hardware limitation.
If you happen to setup Do-Not-Disturb on your device settings, remember to set Do-Not-Disturb on your iPlum settings as well which will route the call to iPlum voicemail before sending it to your voice network.
Advanced Setting (Online web portal): “Use external voicemail detection”. You can enable it. It will detect physical voicemail & reroute the unanswered call to your iPlum voicemail.
I am not seeing the caller’s phone number during incoming calls OR I am seeing my own name for inbound calls instead of calling party?
Please enable “contacts” permission for iPlum app on your iPhone or Android device settings. It is required for correct caller-id management.
Check your device phone book. Make sure there is no contact created with your name & your iPlum number together.
Note: If you are using IVR, there is option in Advanced Settings to choose between “Actual calling number” and “Main account iPlum number”. Please update that selection to “Actual calling number”.
Disable voice network mode & instead use wi-fi or carrier data for incoming calls?
