How to send a document, file, photo, audio, video as SMS on iPhone or iPad?
Send existing files, documents, photos or videos already stored on your iOS Device
The files are containerized in each app. Let's say you want to send a file stored in a 3rd party app or documents folder in iOS app or in Camera app using SMS in iPlum app:
- Select/tap the file and click "share" icon. Now select iPlum app from available options.
- It will open the iPlum app text screen with the file attachment.
- In the "To" box, fill the phone number or contact to which you want to send this file and click "Send" icon at the bottom of the screen.
Take new photo, audio, video in iPlum app and send using SMS
Note: You need to allow iPlum app to access your Camera for this to work. In iOS, go to Settings > iPlum app and grant access to Camera.
- Open iPlum app text screen.
- Open new message or existing conversation.
- Click "clip" icon at the bottom left of screen. It will open a container with different options: Templates, Audio, Video, Gallery, Map.
- Select your option and create your attachment.
- In the "To" box, fill the phone number or contact to which you want to send this file and click "Send" icon at the bottom of the screen.
