How does backup and restore work?

iPlum is a business service. With default privacy settings: texts, business contacts or fax are not backed up. You can start archiving them by using the Backup plan “from the date” you enrolled in the backup plan. It will not restore previous texts or contacts because they are not archived.

Is back plan mandatory for HIPAA compliance?

If you are a healthcare professional requiring HIPAA compliance, this plan is mandatory. All the information is encrypted and archived with highest security and reliability.

How much backup plan cost?

  • Security & Backup Basic ($3.99).
    Includes: Security and backup business contacts, text and fax.

  • Security & Backup Enhanced ($6.99).
    Includes: Security and backup business contacts, text; Unlimited secure text channels; Text to email.

What is the backup policy?

The backup is activated after the user subscribes for the plan.

For $3.99 & $6.99 plan the text are archived for last six (6) months on rolling basis. One can retrieve last sixty days (60) Text messages in iPlum app using Restore feature in iPlum Settings. One can retrieve last six months (6) texts online in password protected iPlum portal. For longer duration, the users are advised to download and backup texts for their compliance using iPlum portal usage reporting section. Business contacts are backed up after the user subscribes for the plan.

For $9.99 plan the text are archived for last three (3) years on rolling basis. One can retrieve last sixty days (60) Text messages in iPlum app using Restore feature in iPlum Settings. One can retrieve last three years (3) texts online in password protected iPlum portal. For longer duration, the users are advised to download and backup texts for their compliance using iPlum portal usage reporting section. Business contacts are backed up after the user subscribes for the plan.

Note: When a user disables the backup, the backup data is permanently removed.

I have a 2019 version of text archive plan. How can I update to new backup plan?

The previous plan allowed text archive online but no text restore in the app. The new backup plan allows both archive and restore in the iPlum app. The messages will continue to be available in the iPlum portal with either old or new plan.

Update to new backup plan online:

  1. Login to iPlum portal https://my.iplum.com

  2. Dashboard || Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Plans || Security & Backup Plan

  3. OR

  4. Dashboard || Accounts || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Plans || Financial & Legal Compliance Plan
