How does backup and restore work?

iPlum is a business service. With default privacy settings: texts, business contacts or fax are not backed up. You can start archiving them by using the Backup plan “from the date” you enrolled in the backup plan. It will not restore previous texts or contacts because they are not archived.

What is the cost for security and backup plans?

Each line has its own backup plan. There are three (3) types of backup plans based on your industry and needs:

  • Security & Backup Basic ($3.99 paid monthly or $3.17 paid annually).
    Includes: Security and backup business contacts, text and fax. It also works for HIPAA compliance on fax line.
  • OR

  • Security & Backup Enhanced ($6.99 paid monthly or $5.99 paid annually).
    Includes: Security and backup business contacts, text; Unlimited secure text channels; Text to email. It also works for HIPAA compliance on phone line.
  • OR

  • Financial & Legal Compliance plan ($9.99).
    Includes: Security and backup business contacts, text; Unlimited secure text channels; Text to email, Call recording. It also works for financial, legal, sales and support compliance on phone line.

What is the backup retention policy?

The backup is activated after the user subscribes for the plan.

Security & Backup Basic or Enhanced, the text are archived for last six (6) months on rolling basis. You can download texts online in password protected iPlum portal. For longer duration, the users are advised to download and backup texts using iPlum portal usage reporting section.
You can retrieve last sixty days (60) text messages in iPlum app using Restore feature in iPlum Settings. Business contacts are backed up in iPlum app.

Financial & Legal Compliance plan, the text and call recordings are archived for last three (3) years on rolling basis. You can retrieve last three years (3) texts and call recordings online in password protected iPlum portal. For longer duration, the users are advised to download and backup texts and recordings using iPlum portal usage reporting section.
You can retrieve last sixty days (60) text messages in iPlum app using Restore feature in iPlum Settings. Business contacts are backed up in iPlum app.

Note: If you disable backup settings for a user, the new backup will stop and previous backup data is permanently removed.

I have a 2019 version of text archive plan. How can I update to new backup plan?

The previous plan allowed text archive online but no text restore in the app. The new backup plan allows both archive and restore in the iPlum app. The messages will continue to be available in the iPlum portal with either old or new plan.

Update to new backup plan online:

  1. Login to iPlum portal https://my.iplum.com

  2. Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Plans || Security & Backup Plan

  3. OR

  4. Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Plans || Financial & Legal Compliance Plan
